中興新村高等研究園區荷花季展開

由中部科學工業園區管理局與南投市公所共同主辦的「102年中興新村高等研究園區荷花季」，9日正式登場，活動至6月23日結束，為期半個月。

中興新村於民國46年建設完成，是台灣地區首創仿英國新市鎮設計理念，各項公共設施完善，花園式社區，處處花木扶疏景色優美。

春夏時值荷花盛開，在進入中興新村省府路的椰林大道兩旁，種了滿池的荷花（面積0.46公頃、大小池有29池），中科管理局希望以此為主題，吸引觀光遊客參觀。

中興新村高等研究園區於100年1月，由台灣省政府移撥，規劃內容朝「文化創意」、「行政辦公」、「高科技研發」等三大方向推進，目前基礎工程已陸續展開。
