總統府大門25日凌晨5時左右，遭到35公噸的砂石車衝撞，突破第一道白鐵欄杆、第二道地柱、第三道雞爪釘，最終被防彈門擋下，卻也把2千多萬元的防彈門撞壞，為避免維安空窗期，府方正進行第一波維安措施，在總統府正大門的鐵欄杆前，架設20座花崗岩材質的花台，每個重達一噸。

為加強擴大監控與警戒，總統府晚間8時30分調來起重機，架設20座花崗岩材質的花台，每個重達一噸，暫擋破損大門，並在夜間巡邏加強人力，持續監控監視器錄影畫面。
